Enjoy your summer, plan for the fallHoly Trinity Catholic School could use a few more caring adults as Foster Grandparents this fall. Partnering with the Central Minnesota Foster Grandparent Program, we are looking for local adults age 55+ to become part of this exciting intergenerational program. If you know someone who would like a little extra spending money every month, enjoys working with children and has a little time to spare, this could be a wonderful opportunity for them. As a Foster Grandparent, you would be helping those students that need just a little extra attention so they can succeed. Foster Grandparents help children by reading with them, working on math assignments, completing art projects and much more. Foster Grandparents are also positive role models who demonstrate caring for others by volunteering in local schools. The Foster Grandparent Program offers many benefits to those who participate, including a tax-free hourly reimbursement, transportation reimbursement for mileage or for using a city bus, orientation, on-going training, health benefits and more. Please encourage older adults you know to consider volunteering in our school as a Foster Grandparent.
